The scraper system is a low profile design which considerably reduces foundation costs.  We use a pneumatic ram to pull back and push forward a framework consisting of a number of swinging blades. The frame is mounted on wheels and track for easy movement.  On the backward stroke the blade rides over the abrasive but on the forward stroke it pushes the abrasive towards the elevator.  This system can be quite easily used above floor level to save foundation costs.
